1. About Us

These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Edith Wilmot Florist website and to any orders you place with us. Using our website or placing an order with us means you accept these terms. We recommend reading them before you buy.


2. Our Products

Every arrangement and bouquet is made to order by our skilled florists in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol. The images shown on our website are intended to give a representative impression of each product; the exact flowers and foliage used may vary with seasonal availability. Any substitutions will always be of comparable quality and value to what was shown.

As a natural and perishable product, flowers can vary in size, shade and variety. Any descriptions we provide are a guide rather than a precise specification.


3. Placing an Order

Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to buy from us. We will acknowledge your order by email, though this acknowledgement does not itself confirm acceptance. Your order is formally accepted when we begin preparing and dispatching it.

We may decline any order at our discretion. Should this happen, you will receive a full refund.

Please ensure that all delivery information you provide is accurate. We are unable to accept responsibility for failed or late deliveries that result from incorrect or incomplete address details supplied at the time of ordering.


4. Prices and Payment

All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where this applies. Any applicable delivery charge will be shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, though any such change will not affect an order that has already been placed and paid for.

Payment is processed securely at the point of ordering through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Your full card details are never stored by us.


5. Delivery

We provide local hand delivery across Bristol and the surrounding area, as well as a national courier service to addresses throughout the UK.

Local delivery: available Monday to Saturday, between 9:00am and 5:30pm. We do not deliver on Sundays or bank holidays. To receive same-day delivery, your order must be placed by 2:00pm.

Delivery charges vary depending on your postcode and will be clearly displayed at checkout. Full details of our delivery zones and charges are available on our Delivery page.

National courier deliveries are available Tuesday to Friday for next-day dispatch. Orders must be placed before 2:00pm. Please note that the national service does not cover fresh arrangements, funeral tributes, or potted plants.

While we make every effort to deliver within the expected timeframe, we cannot guarantee specific delivery times. We accept no liability for delays arising from circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, road conditions, or carrier delays.


6. Cancellations and Amendments

As all our products are made individually to order, we kindly ask that any cancellations or changes are notified to us no later than 24 hours before the requested delivery date. Please call us on 0117 950 8589 or 0774 752 8689, or email edithwilmotflorist@gmail.com.

Where a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice and work on your order has already commenced, we may not be able to issue a refund.

Wedding and event orders are subject to their own cancellation terms, which will be set out clearly in your written quotation.


7. Fresh Flowers and Substitutions

Given the perishable and handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns on fresh flower orders once they have been delivered, except where an item is faulty or materially different from its description.

If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include a photograph. We will consider each situation on its merits and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, credit note, or refund.

From time to time, a specific flower or variety may be unavailable. In those cases we will substitute with something of equivalent quality, value, and spirit to the original arrangement.


8. Age-Restricted Products

Certain items on our website — including products containing alcohol — may only be purchased by customers who are 18 years of age or older. By confirming the age verification checkbox at checkout, you are declaring that you meet this requirement.

Our delivery team may ask for proof of age when delivering alcohol. If satisfactory proof cannot be provided, we reserve the right to retain the product and no refund will be issued in those circumstances.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under applicable law, Edith Wilmot Florist shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from use of our website or from the purchase of our products.

Our total liability for any claim connected to a specific order will be limited to the total amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms seeks to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter where such exclusion is not permitted under the laws of England and Wales.


10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising under them will fall within the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
